Skillpins Fair Play System
In youth sports, development is about more than skills.
It’s also about how we treat each other — as teammates, opponents, and people.
Fair Play is something that needs to be encouraged from an early age.
A set of Fair Play pins is included in every kit — making it easy to introduce Fair Play in your team from day one.
The pins
"The Fair Play pins were created to make this visible and to recognize the behaviors that build strong teams — respect, effort, and how players support each other."
THE FAIR PLAY

"Wear what you stand for"
The Fair Play pin is something players, families, and supporters can get through the club — to show that they stand for respect, teamwork, and fair play.
It’s often available during:
- team activities
- games
- club events
When you get one, you’re not just wearing a pin — you’re supporting the club, the team and the values they stand for.
And when you wear it, you show others what you believe in.
THE FAIR PLAY "GAME DAY"

"Only way to get it is to earn it"
Fair Play Game Day pins are awarded during games — and cannot be bought.
At each game, one player from each team is recognized for showing great sportsmanship.
It can be:
- helping an opponent up
- encouraging teammates
- showing respect to referees
- playing with the right attitude
Chosen by coaches, referees, or game staff.
A simple moment — but one that clearly shows what Fair Play looks like.
Build better teammates — not just better players
Why it works
Young players are motivated by recognition and belonging.
When positive behavior is seen and encouraged,
it becomes a natural part of how teams function.
Players don’t just focus on what they do — but how they act, support each other, and contribute to the team.
Over time, this creates stronger habits, better team environments, and players who take responsibility —both on and off the court.
For Clubs
Fair Play pins help clubs build something bigger than just training.
They strengthen how players interact, support each other, and contribute to a positive team environment.
Over time, this leads to:
- stronger team culture
- more positive behavior
- greater inclusion and community
And when used as part of team activities, they can also support the team financially — in a simple and voluntary way.
